Sugar rules steady on ample supplies |

Sugar prices ruled steady on Thursday.
On the Vashi market, S-grade gained Rs.4 a quintal while M-grade
dropped by Rs.30. Despite renewed retail demand enough supply kept
prices under check. Arrivals to the Vashi market remained stable at
59-60 truck loads and local dispatches were also at 58-60 truck
loads. On Wednesday evening, about 21-22 mills offered tenders and
sold about 44,000-45,000 bags at Rs.2,040-2,190 (2,040-2,190) for
S-grade and Rs.2,170-2,290 (2,170-2,290) for M-grade.

Association’s spot rates: S-grade Rs.2,176-2,325 (2,172-2,325) and
M-grade Rs.2,260-2,582 (2,290-2,582). Naka delivery rates: S-grade
Rs.2,140-2,290 (2,140-2,290) and M-grade Rs.2,280-2,400
