Sugar rules steady in routine trade |

Spot sugar prices ruled steady on
Wednesday. Naka and mill tender rates were unchanged. Spot rates at
Vashi market declined by Rs.10 a quintal at the lower side and
increased by Rs.10 at the higher side for S-grade. M-grade was
steady. With routine local demand and enough supply sentiments
remained calm and steady. Arrivals declined to 61-62 truck loads and
local dispatches were 59-60 loads. On Tuesday 14-15 mills offered
tenders and sold about 38,000-40,000 bags at Rs.2,410-2,520
(2,400-2,520) for S-grade and Rs.2,500-2,600 (2,500-2,600) for
M-grade.

Association’s spot rates: S-grade Rs.2,512-2,651 (2,522-2,642) and
M-grade Rs.2,620-2,742 (2,620-2,742). Naka delivery rates: S-grade
Rs.2,480-2,590 (2,480-2,590) and M-grade Rs.2,580-2,720
