HeadLine : Pulses rise on lower arrivals
Date : Jan 23 2017

Almost all the pulses seeds in Indore mandis traded higher on declining arrivals and improved buying from millers. Chana (kanta) on Friday rose to 7,000-7,100 a quintal, while chana (desi) ruled at 6,800.

Rise in chana prices has mainly been attributed to weak availability of imported stock and slack arrival of new crop due to chilly weather condition. Improved buying from government warehouses has also lifted tur in local mandis by 200 in the past one week with tur (Maharashtra) and tur (lemon) being quoted at 4,700 a quintal each, while tur (MP) ruled at 4,300.
